Do you remember playing on your small Nintendo when you were just a kid? Then you have been enjoying Battle City for sure! You have played many free games, which include war, soldiers and battles. However, this game stands out above all the rest of that kind.

What is the goal of the Battle City?
This game brings a clear message (whether some like it or not) – kill or get killed!
You have to protect both yourself and your “heart” (the golden eagle; actually, it looks much more like a phoenix to me, but I wouldn’t argue over the issue). Meanwhile, tanks around you are growing bigger with each further level and harder to kill, too. Hey, is it fair that you have to shoot 1 to 5 times before you kill one, but they make you vanish instantly, with a single shot?
Your main purpose is to deal with all those bad guys in the tanks, but there are a few obstacles/helping tools (it depends on the point of view) – the bricks. Whether passable or not, they can be helpful to you at least for a while, so that the enemy tanks won’t get to your birdie instantly. They can kill you a few times, but you luckily have a sufficient amount of lives. If the tanks reach from the upper half of the screen to the lower midst of it and do the same with the eagle, though, the game says two sweet words: Game over!
Great for a 2 player mode as well as for 1, Battle City is an engaging game, which brings you hours of fun, no matter how retro it is already. So, why not try and find this classic, which is available in many free games directories? And remember – keep an eye on all the naughty tanks, right?
